Bangladesh chase 212-run target posted by Nepal

KATHMANDU: Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team is batting against Nepal to chase the 212-run target posted by Nepal in their first quarter-finals match of the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Friday.

Nepal were restricted to 211/9.Nepal claimed its first wicket at 6.3 overs when Sunil Dhamala bowled opening batsman Saif Hassan after scoring five runs.Confusion gripped Bangladeshi players when both Pinak Ghosh and Joyraz Sheik ended up at the same side and Nepal took the wicket. Multiple replays confirmed that Pinak crossed the line after Sheik and was sent out of the field.Lack of coordination among the batsmen was a big miss from Nepal’s side as well; it cost Nepal four wickets. First run-out was when Dhamala ran for the runs but Raju Rijal did not make a move, and Dhamala faced the loss. Then it was Rijal, who ran between the wickets but Rajbir Singh maintained his position and the wicket keeper, Jaker Ali, took the wicket easily.
